Quartets

Mountain Breeze:
Mountain Breeze Quartet has been entertaining audiences in the greater Knoxville area for a number of years. We have performed at meetings of the Red Hat Society, Senior groups, Oak Ridge Civic Music Association, nursing homes, church groups, birthday parties, and business and professional club events. In January 2008, we were invited to perform on the First Musical Monday series at the historic Tennessee Theatre. You may have heard us as we delivered Singing Valentines in February of the last several years. Consisting of Mary Jo Walker, Tenor, Fulvia Galli, Lead, Judy Linn, Bass and Anna Miller, Baritone, we are members of Smoky Mountain Harmony Show Chorus.

Our repertoire includes Broadway show tunes, inspirational and patriotic songs, and a little bit of country, as well as seasonal favorites. If you would like to book Mountain Breeze Quartet for a performance, call Anna at 865-482-3167 or e-mail MountainBreeze@smokymtnharmony.org.

Sunny Daze:
With over 40 years of combined Barbershop Harmony experience, Sunny Daze is a registered competing quartet with Sweet Adelines International. Members of SD are musical leaders in Smoky Mountain Harmony Chorus and their love of Barbershop shines through in their performances.

Their repertoire includes a variety of oldies, standards, gospel, patriotic, and holiday music. They are available for special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, parties, and organizational programs.

Don't live your life in a haze, brighten up with Sunny Daze.

Red Hot Rendition:
Two Southerners and two Northerners, 2 Redheads and 2 blondes, make up the feisty (all single) quartet that call themselves, Red Hot Rendition. All the gals have all lived in the South long enough to acquire Smoky Mountain Charm. Red Hot Rendition has been together since April of 2007.

Mary Johnson, originally from Ohio, sings Baritone and has been with Smoky Mountain Harmony since August of 2000. Mary is an Ophthalmology technician and an artist who has lent her artwork for publicity flyers and Singing Valentines cards. Phyllis Bennett, who joined SMH in September of 2000, sings Tenor with the Red Hot Quartet. Phyllis, originally a Jersey girl, is employed as an Optician and is also quite the actress. She has been in several plays in the region with different Playhouses over the years. Chris Chasteen sings Bass and has been with Smoky Mountain Harmony since January of 2005. Chris, born and raised in Knoxville, was at one time a school teacher but is now a travel agent. Red Hot is Chris' first quartet and you can bet with her strong Bass voice she has a long future in quarteting. Karen Houser sings Lead and joined SMH in August of 2004. Another born and raised K-town gal, Karen is in Sales & Marketing in the medical field. Red Hot is also Karen's first quartet with SMH, although she has sang for several years in the community at jamborees, festivals and churches, as music is Karen's first love.

Red Hot Rendition recently sang at the Relay for Life banquet at Anderson County High School with Smoky Mountain Harmony Chorus and even more recently at a birthday celebration at Wild Wings Restaurant. The quartet is available for tunes at Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, funerals, business functions and parties. Contact us at
